![]() The lower cost antennas are not plotted to keep price low. Among different broadband antennas, Vivaldi TSA (VTSA) with exponential taper profile is preferred due to its simple planner structure, low profile, lightweight, low fabrication cost, and easy integration with circuits. Then these antennas are constructed using RT/Duroid 5870 which have dielectric constant r 2.33. All antennas except the UWB-4 and TSA900 come with a birth certificate showing the return loss plot of the antenna. The Vivaldi Antenna is designed to cover from 2 to 18 GHz by using the CST Microwave Studio Software. Each antenna is hand tuned and tested to cover the specified frequency band continuously. These antennas cover different frequency bands from 200 - 12000 MHz. A novel compact ultra-wide band (UWB) antipodal Vivaldi antenna with band notched is presented in this communication.
